LET THE ENGINE RUN FREE— CAR SCENES, NEW JERSEY, AND 2 THINGS INSPIRED BY AUTO AMOUR

The car scene really got me to encounter the feeling of freedom while growing up in New Jersey. Car races and shows put me right in the heart of an automatic, gas-fueled love. It was a free, wandering passion on wheels.

I’ve chased this freedom since the early days. It is tender as soft leather. A love that frees everyone from their societal lane—truly profound.

These kinds of autos and experiences made me feel free. Through Auto Amour, I want to give you that feeling. I want to open you to find freedom through autos the way I do. That’s the all-or-nothing spirit of our stuff and what makes us rev up.

We are so intrigued by auto-inspired fashion because it is so completely, truly different than anything that has raced ahead of it. Our mission is to share that experience of crossing lanes and categories never before explored.

Otherwise, this signature shirt would have never happened. There’s no way to buy the rights of what it represents, but you can buy the feeling. The feeling of untamed horsepower.

This pin is for the free at heart. I wear it when I want to put gas on the fire that burns in my love for autos.

It’s important for me to help people find the things in autos that make them free, because too few people value freedom for itself. The chase scenes we watch, the traffic we sit in, the wheels we follow after with jealousy—they can’t make us as free as a selfless, driven love.

The things I’m making are a new thing, a new kind of appreciation for the auto, particularly in myself. They are the auto for our individual roads.
